Sungil Hi-tech was founded as a semiconductor material manufacturer on December 2, 1987. The headquarters is located in Dongtan-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Sungil Hi-Tech manufactures wafer slices and silicon wafers used in semiconductor manufacturing processes. The main customers of Sungil Hi-Tech are Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Intel, and TSMC. As of 2021, Sungil Hi-Tech recorded sales of KRW 1.292.8 trillion and operating profit of KRW 91.8 billion. Sungil Hi-tech was listed on the KOSDAQ in 1994. In 2002, we started producing silicon wafers. The first expansion was carried out in 2005, the second expansion in 2008, the third expansion in 2011, the fourth expansion in 2014, the fifth expansion in 2017, and the sixth expansion in 2020. Sungil Hi-Tech has a global competitive edge in semiconductor material manufacturing. Through continuous investment and R&D, Sungil Hi-Tech has established itself as a leader in semiconductor material manufacturing. Sungil HiTech established the European General Corporation (SungEel HiTech Europe Kft.) in October 2022. The European General Corporation was established to expand the European market and strengthen cooperation with European customers. Sungil Hi-Tech is expected to continue to grow with the growth of the semiconductor industry.

2. CEO of Sungil Hi-Tech

Lee Kang-myung, CEO of Sungil Hi-tech, was born in 1969, graduated from Korea University's Department of Material Engineering and obtained a master's degree in Material Engineering from the graduate school. I joined Samsung SDI in 1992 and worked in battery R&D for 15 years. After that, he joined Sungil Hi-Tech in 2007 and became the CEO. CEO Lee Kang-myung has grown Sungil Hi-Tech into a leading company in the domestic waste battery recycling sector. Sungil Hi-Tech completed the first waste battery recycling plant in Korea in 2011, and currently has the world's largest waste battery recycling plant. CEO Lee Kang-myung emphasizes the importance of the waste battery recycling industry and is expanding the development and investment of waste battery recycling technology. In addition, we are working with the government to develop the waste battery recycling industry. CEO Lee Kang-myung was selected as the "100 CEOs Leading Korea" by the Hankook Ilbo in 2021 and the "CEO of the Year" by the Dong-A Ilbo in 2022. CEO Lee Kang-myung is contributing to protecting the environment and revitalizing the economy through the waste battery recycling industry.

3. Sungil Hi-Tech Future

Sungil Hi-Tech's technology is recognized worldwide, and in 2018, it also made a joint venture with LG Chem, a U.S. battery maker. The secondary battery recycling market is growing rapidly.
